The Gray Area
Things Aren't Always Black and White...
The Gray Area Podcast is hosted by Mike Marks, Omar Saleem and AfroDan. The podcast features discussions about recent issues and perspectives that are not simply black and white in nature, both in an argumentative and literal sense. Some of the topics we discuss include major nationwide stories, social justice, systemic reform, entertainment, sports and historical comparisons.

MIKE MARKS
Mike Marks was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He is an advocate for criminal justice reform and majored in Criminal Justice during his college studies. He previously worked in the reentry field from 2012 to 2019 and has extensive experience helping to rehabilitate ex-offenders. In his spare time he writes, produces, and records hip-hop music.
OMAR SALEEM
Omar Saleem. South philly native and resident. Drummer, barber, and mentor. He believes that nothing coincidental is accidental and that we all must be the change we want to see in the world.

AFRO DAN
AfroDan is a diehard Philadelphia sports fan and cheesesteak enthusiast. As a person of color with years of experience in the re-entry field, AfroDan adds a unique perspective on many social justice and systemic issues affecting our country. He currently works in the IT field, while still serving the re-entry programs with his services. He also brings his signature hairstyle and nearly endless list of terrible jokes to the podcast.
